“I have to say, and I strongly believe, that Bill is a hard working, totally honest, compassionate person who has the perfect disposition to lead the Johnson County Sheriff's Department in today's ever changing climate.” —Pat Pankey, Chief Edinburgh Police Dept.

About Bill Pfifer

I am a Sheriff candidate who has over 23 years of experience in law enforcement and has the ABILITY, INTEGRITY and DEDICATION to lead your Johnson County Sheriff's Office in the challenging years ahead.

I will not request or accept any pay raises during my tenure as your Sheriff.

I am the only Sheriff candidate who publicly opposed the construction of a new 87 million dollar Sheriff's administration building at taxpayer's expense. I support building only what is needed and using our tax dollars wisely in expanding our jail.

I propose making criminals incarcerated in the Johnson County Jail reimburse taxpayers for their jail stay. I want to use our tax dollars wisely and I want to send a strong message to criminals. "If you commit crimes in Johnson County, YOU will pay, NOT the taxpayers!”

Under my leadership, I will work together with all the law enforcement agencies in Johnson County to:

Form teams or task forces to combat the growing drug problem

Assign more of our deputies to the investigation division

Combat new and ever-changing crimes involving computers and technology

Work together with all law enforcement agencies in the county, sharing our resources to better serve Johnson County and conserve tax dollars.

Utilizing new technology, I will promote implementing an emergency warning system to notify county residents by text message, email, and telephone of emergency situations or disasters.

Develop programs to educate the public we serve to reduce crime and victimization of our most vulnerable citizens, Seniors and Children.

Bill Pfifer--A sheriff dedicated to reducing crime, protecting our families and using our tax dollars wisely.
